News   Children's Museum to Spotlight Broadway Shows in NYC, Beginning June 29 Kids patronizing the Children's Museum of Manhattan on Thursdays this summer will be treated to live performances from some of New York's biggest musicals. The annual series, called "Broadway Theatre Thursday Matinees," begins June 29 with Beauty and the Beast. In the weeks to come, shows such as Swing! and Chicago will be featured. Also expected are such Off-Broadway attractions as Blue Man Group. The series is funded with support from Target Stores.

Kids patronizing the Children's Museum of Manhattan on Thursdays this summer will be treated to live performances from some of New York's biggest musicals. The annual series, called "Broadway Theatre Thursday Matinees," begins June 29 with Beauty and the Beast. In the weeks to come, shows such as Swing! and Chicago will be featured. Following each appearance, the shows' performers will take questions from the audience and participate in workshops for the children.

Each event will take place at 2 PM and 2:30 PM at the museum (212 W. 83rd St.). Following is a current schedule of "Theatre Thursdays." Call (212) 721-1234 for more information.
