News Chip Zien to Be Part of Free By the Numbers Musical Reading Chip Zien, most recently on Broadway in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, will take part in the reading of the new musical By the Numbers: A Musical Comedy in 3 Generations.

Zien will join Liz Larsen, Sara Delaney, John Henry Cox and Bridget Clark for the Dec. 18 reading at The Players Theatre. Presented by Stephanie Riso and Jo Ann Cunningham, the reading is part of TRU (Theatre Resources Unlimited)'s 7th Annual New Voices Musical Series. Show time is 7 PM. By the Numbers features a book and lyrics by Amanda Yesnowitz and music by Brian Feinstein. The musical, according to press notes, is a "coming-of-age story about shattered expectations, suburban family dynamics, and a train to Massachusetts" and asks the question, "What happens when a girl tries to live her life according to a mathematical formula?"

Chip Zien has appeared on Broadway in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Boys From Syracuse, Into the Woods, Falsettos, Grand Hotel, The Suicide, All Over Town and Ride the Winds.
