News Chita Rivera's March 1 Performance at Feinstein's Canceled The March 1 performance of Chita Rivera's And Now I Sing — at Feinstein's at the Regency — has been canceled.

A spokesperson for the cabaret said Rivera's Tuesday evening show had been canceled "due to the impending storm." Those with reservations should contact Feinstein's to reschedule. Chita Rivera began her first extended nightclub engagement in several years Feb. 22. The Tony-winning performer will play the posh club through March 12. Her show features songs by Jerry Herman, Cy Coleman, Jacques Brel, Carol Hall, Jule Styne and Kander and Ebb. Musical director Mark Hummel leads a trio of musicians.

Born Dolores Conchita Figueroa del Rivero in 1933, Chita Rivera is one of the theatre's most acclaimed performers. She has won Tony Awards for her performances in two Kander and Ebb musicals, The Rink and Kiss of the Spider Woman, and was also nominated for her work in Bye Bye Birdie, Chicago, Bring Back Birdie, Merlin, Jerry's Girls and her most recent outing, the Tony-winning revival of Nine. Rivera's other Broadway credits include the musical Seventh Heaven, her Broadway debut; Mr. Wonderful; the original production of West Side Story; and Bajour. She appeared in the film version of "Sweet Charity," starred in the world premiere of Kander and Ebb's The Visit, and also headlined Bernarda Alba at the Mark Taper Forum.

Feinstein's at the Regency is located in Manhattan at 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street. Show times are Tuesday-Saturdays at 8:30 PM with late shows Friday and Saturday nights at 11 PM.
