Adrian Noble's production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang flies in to the Palladium March 19 with its first preview.
Believed to be London's most expensive production ever, the lavish children's musical, which opens on April 16, will hopefully prove "truly scrumptious" for director Adrian Noble, currently under siege at the Royal Shakespeare Company, and will remind the industry just how good a director he is.
Chitty is still fondly remembered as a hugely successful 1960's children's movie, is packed with tunes and will have spectacular special effects centered on the flying car itself. With heartthrob Michael Ball heading the cast, bookings have been brisk.
