I'm The One That I Want was filmed in San Francisco, Nov. 13, and will be released as a movie mid-year. Not only that, the actress comedienne is penning her autobiography for Ballantine Books, to be published in fall 2001, according to the Tony Origlio press office.

San Francisco native Cho became prominent with TV's "All American Girl," which made her the first Asian-American with her own sitcom. However, the network constantly made her weight an issue and ended up canceling the program, sending her into a substance-fueled depression. Cho's solo deals with that whole period, as well as her relationship with her old fashioned mother, and the perception of Asians in media. Other appearances have included "Politically Incorrect," "Leno," "Letterman," "Rosie" and "Oprah."
