Ron Dennis, who played the role of Richie ("Gimme the ball, gimme the ball, Yeah!") in the original cast of Broadway's A Chorus Line, is performing a one-man show Feb. 16 at 8 PM at the New York Theatre Workshop.

The show, with the catchy name Don't Grab the Gowns Until You See the Gurney! was scripted by Dennis and is directed and choreographed by Justin Ross. The musical director is Zecca.

Don't Grab the Gowns, dedicated to the memory of Michael Bennett, is an autobiographical song and dance work about Dennis's life as a gay black man and performer, and his 15-year struggle with AIDS.

It was first performed in the summer of 1997 in a limited-run workshop in L.A. -- where it played to capacity audiences.

A benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Don't Grab the Gowns is being presented by Ross and Ronni Lieberman in association with NYTW. The theatre is at 79 E. 4th St. For tickets, $25, call (212) 674-4848.
