Directed by Nick Brennan with musical direction by Ferdy Tumakaka, the 7 PM reading boasts the talents of Chris Hoch (La Cage aux Folles, Shrek), Erica Rowlette Aubrey (Mary Poppins), Kristy Cates (Wicked), Christopher Kale Jones (Jersey Boys), Jenna Coker-Jones (Little Shop of Horrors) and Miles Aubrey (Jersey Boys).

There's Something I Need to Tell You features book and lyrics by Robert Stroizer and music and lyrics by Barbara Hustedt.

The musical, according to press notes, "follows six Manhattan singles in their search for the perfect mate — or at least the perfect person to spend the night with. Dragging his feet en route to discuss living together with a longtime girlfriend, Barry (Chris Hoch) pauses in front of a Broadway theatre to eye an attractive woman (Erica Rowlett Aubrey) who's clearly meeting someone. When she approaches and says 'Sheldon?,' he hesitates for just a beat before answering…yes. And from there, the complications in this modern-day Midsummer Night's Dream just keep multiplying."

Theatre for the New City is located at 155 First Avenue. Reservations are required in advance by e-mailing [email protected]. For more information visit www.theressomethingineedtotellyou.com.
