The annual benefit, which brings together Broadway stars to perform songs from shows and roles in which they'd never be cast, is hosted by Victor Garber (Sweeney Todd, Present Laughter). The event begins at 7:30 PM.
In addition to Borle (Peter and the Starcatcher, "Smash"), Groff (Spring Awakening, "Glee"), Boggess (The Little Mermaid, Phantom of the Opera) and Krakowski (Grand Hotel, "30 Rock"), performers for the evening include LaChanze (The Color Purple), Jeremy Jordan (Newsies), Marin Mazzie (Carrie), Jason Danieley (Curtains), Cheyenne Jackson (Xanadu), Tony Sheldon (Priscilla Queen of the Desert), Michael Mandell (Elf) and Nicole Parker (Wicked). The musical director for the evening is Phil Reno.
A special performance from Carrie cast members Corey Boardman, Jake Boyd, F. Michael Haynie, Derek Klena, Andy Mientus and Wayne Wilcox will also be part of the night.
Light, a 2012 Tony Award winner for Other Desert Cities, is being honored for "her illustrious screen and stage career, her work with MCC Theater, and her impassioned advocacy of several causes, including Arts in Education."
Light (Wit, Lombardi) will appear in the Broadway production of Richard Greenberg's The Assembled Parties on Broadway this spring.
Gala tickets begin at $600, with mezzanine level show-only tickets available for $79 (general admission) and $99 (reserved seating). The Hammerstein Ballroom is located at 311 W. 34th Street.
