Borle, an alum of Smash and The Good Wife, will play Don Ridley, a journalist who charms Foster’s Liza. According to Variety, he’s set for a two-episode arc beginning in the fourth episode of the new season, premiering later this summer.

Borle and Foster, who were married from 2006 to 2010, also shared the screen in the 2016 Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls. The two-time Tony winners also co-starred in Broadway's Thoroughly Modern Millie in 2003 (Foster won a Tony for her title performance; Borle replaced Gavin Creel as Jimmy Smith).

Younger follows Liza Miller, a newly single 40-something who revitalizes her career by posing as a millennial in the publishing industry. Past stage names to appear on the show include Jane Krakowski, Ana Gasteyer, Kristin Chenoweth, Norm Lewis, and Krysta Rodriguez. Miriam Shor, Hedwig and the Angry Inch’s original Yitzhak, plays Liza’s boss Diana Trout.
