The Off-Broadway staging will begin previews Feb. 14, 2016, with an official opening night scheduled for Feb. 25. Performances will run through March 27 at Brooklyn's Polonsky Shakespeare Center.
The production marks the first time that acclaimed director and former artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Royal National Theatre Nunn will stage Shakespeare in the U.S. His Broadway credits include Les Miserables, A Little Night Music, Oklahoma! and Sunset Boulevard, among many more. It will also mark the third Shakespearean title role for Camargo, whose Shakespearean resume also includes As You Like It, The Tempest and Henry V.
More casting will be announced at a later date.
TFNA's Pericles will feature live and recorded music written by Irish composer Shaun Davey. The Odysseus-like story follows Pericles as he wonders the world of the Aegean.
Tickets will be available in January and can be purchased by visiting TFNA.org, by phone at (866) 811-4111, or in person at the Theatre for a New Audience Box Office, located at the Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place, Brooklyn.
