News Christie Is The Unexpected Guest for Alley's Summer Chills Series Agatha Christie's The Unexpected Guest will make a return to the Alley Stage as its annual Summer Chills production.

Summer Chills offers Houston theatergoers the opportunity to catch an Alley production for less, with tickets priced $21-$39. The Unexpected Guest, running July 11-Aug. 3, will be the Alley's only Summer Chills dramatic offering.

"In dense fog near the South Welsh coastline, a stranger runs his car into a ditch and arrives at a nearby house," explain press notes. "Inside, he finds the murdered body of a former big-game hunter. The dead man's wife is near the body with a gun in her hand. Is she guilty or is she protecting someone?"

Alley associate director James Black will stage the popular mystery that previously played the Alley Summer Chills line-up in 1997. Casting and creative duties will be announced at a later date.
