Tina Landau (The Brother/Sister Plays, Superior Donuts, Beauty) directs the play that will run through Feb. 25. It marks Landau's directorial debut at Yale Rep.
Joining Aziza (Passing Strange, Women on the Verge....) are Oberon K.A. Adjepong (Ruined), Kyle Beltran (In the Heights), Clifton Duncan (Encores! Lost in the Stars), Marc Damon Johnson (The Brother/Sister Plays) and Angela Lewis (Inked Baby).
Here's how Yale Rep bills Good Goods: "Amidst the cluttered shelves of a family-owned general store in a small Black town that doesn't appear on any map, four lost souls reunite. Partnerships dissolve, alliances shift, and romances ignite as a tragic accident unleashes the town's mysterious history. Blurring the line between body and spirit, Good Goods is an otherworldly love story of the (dis)possessed."
Good Goods has set design by James Schuette, costume design by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Scott Zielinski, sound design by Junghoon Pi, dramaturgy by Amy Boratko and Alexandra Ripp, with vocal and dialect coaching by Jane Guyer Fujita.
