PlayBlog Christina Sajous to Perform, Matthew Modine to Appear at Macy's "Soldier Ride Kick-Off" July 22 American Idiot star Christina Sajous will sing an a capella rendition of “America the Beautiful” as part of a kick-off event in honor of the Soldier Ride rehabilitation program, July 22 at Macy’s in Herald Square.


The event will begin at 9:30 AM and will also feature appearances by stage and screen star Matthew Modine, “The Sopranos” actor Tony Sirico, and former New York Yankee Bernie Williams, who will perform the national anthem. The NYPD marching band will “send off” the riders, who will travel from Macy’s through Central Park and along the West Side Highway, ending in Brooklyn.

Soldier Ride, a program of Wounded Warrior Project, focuses on providing rehabilitation opportunities to recently wounded soldiers and raising awareness of their situation.
