The Nada Show World Gallery opens "Gyrations" — a “collection of established and emerging artists and featuring works by Christo and Claes Oldenberg” on Nov. 15. The show runs through Dec. 17 and will benefit the Todo con Nada Theaters, including the 167 Ludlow space that is facing eviction.

The exhibit comprises Christo Lithographs, sculptures by Claes Oldenberg and Dennis Oppenheim, an early paper suit by James Rosenquist, a video by Nam June Paik, a laser exhibit by Raphaele Shirley, a video installation by Shalom Gorewitz, encaustic paintings by Eric Friedman and crashed pallet paintings by Michael Tharp. Nada Show World presented the multimedia exhibit "A New Voyeur," last spring. The permanent installation, Melora Griffis' life size portraits of company actors in costume for Chekhov's The Sea Gull and The Bear is a first for Nada, where former exotic dance stages have been turned into three 99-seat theatres—the Go Go Room, the Big Top and the Mezz.

Production notes indicate that Todo con Nada theater “partnered with Show World in fall of 1999 producing a full schedule of theatrical events including Yiddish plays, a Chekhov festival, a festival of the Theater of the Ridiculous” and other news works.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted at the door. All exhibited art is for sale with 25 percent of each sale going to Todo con Nada theaters. Nada Show World is located at 671 Eighth Avenue at 42 St. For more information call (212) 586-7829.
