The Tony nominee steps back into the role of Ogie.

Christopher Fitzgerald, who earned a Tony nomination in 2016 for his performance as Ogie in Waitress, will step back into the shoes of the eccentric Revolutionary War reenactor. The original cast member will return to the Broadway production at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre December 11, taking over for Alex Wyse.

The current cast of the Sara Bareilles musical also includes Nicolette Robinson as Jenna, Charity Angel Dawson as Becky, Lenne Klingaman as Dawn, Drew Gehling as Dr. Pomatter, Ben Thompson as Earl, June Squibb as Josie, and Benny Elledge as Cal.

In addition to Waitress, Fitzgerald has earned Tony nominations for Finian’s Rainbow and Young Frankenstein. His additional Broadway credits include An Act of God, Wicked, Chicago, and Amour.
