The Outer Critics Circle is the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway.

Outer Critics Circle will post award nominations in 24 categories beginning at 11 AM.

Celebrating its 64th season of bestowing awards of excellence in the field of theatre, the Outer Critics Circle's members are affiliated with more than 90 newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations, Internet and theatre publications in America and abroad.

Tyson and Williams co-starred in the 2013 revival of Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful. Tyson, who earned a Tony Award for her performance, repeated her work alongside Williams in the Lifetime television film version of the revival. Williams will return to Broadway April 1 in After Midnight.

The Outer Critics Circle Award winners will be announced May 12. The annual Gala Awards Dinner and presentation will be held May 22 at Sardi's.
