The spirit of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker have infused the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, presenting the world premiere of Keeping the Faith, a divine new musical farce with music and lyrics by Scott Bridgeman, book by Mark Krumme, and conceived and developed by Bradley Kain.

The new musical exposes a family of televangelists who have become big-headed (and big-haired) from the power, money and fame that television provides them. From the healing to the hoarding, the family and their operation are highlighted by music ranging in style from gospel to country .

Mark Mocahbee directs a cast of nine characters, with names like Faith May Prevail and Rev. Willy B. Divine, as they raise their hands and their paychecks in phoney faith healings.

Keeping the Faith runs May 14-June 8 at the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati . For tickets or more information, call (513) 421-3555, or refer to the regional listing on Playbill On-Line.
