Charles, Prince of Wales, commissioned a piece of music in honor of the Queen Mother, his late grandmother, the Scotsman reports.

The work, commissioned some time ago, has been completed: a 27-minute piece for cello and orchestra by British composer Richard Rodney Bennett. Reflections on a Scottish Folksong will have its premiere in early 2006 with the Philharmonia Orchestra and cellist Paul Watkins.

The Prince played the cello as a child, and according to the Scotsman has been conducting the Philharmonia at private events.
