Moliere's satirical farce, The Imaginary Invalid, will play at the Cleveland Play House's Drury Theater, May 4-June 5, in a production directed by CPH artistic director Peter Hackett. In Invalid, a hypochondriac is so afeared of death, he tries to get his daughter to marry a medical student, attaining constant care for himself. The 1672 play was Moliere's last; the playwright-actor died after four performances in the role of Argan.
Cleveland's cast consists of W. Francis Walters, Derdriu Ring, Mike Hartman, David Colacci, David O. Frazier, David Frydrychowkski, Stephen Horvat and Martha Libman.
