Donmar Diva Clive Rowe is to rejoin the cast of Chicago as downtrodden husband Amos Hart at the Adelphi Theatre, where he will reprise the role of Amos Hart from Jan. 21 for six months, until Saturday July 20.
Clive Rowe has starred in many other musicals including Carmen Jones at the Old Vic; Carousel, Guys and Dolls (for which he won an Olivier Award) and Candide at the Royal National Theatre and Company at the Donmar Warehouse.
His work for the RSC includes starring roles in Twelfth Night and Measure for Measure. He was one of the performers in the Donmar Warehouse's Donmar Divas.
Kander and Ebb's Chicago continues to be a very popular musical whose combination of chic minimalist staging and superb Bob Fosse-inspired choreography by Ann Reinking has hit a chord with the public since the show opened in 1997.
