Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, which was recently seen on Broadway starring Scarlett Johansson, will kick off CTC's season June 28-July 7. Directed by Lisa Rothe (CTC's Ah! Wilderness, Off-Broadway's Hold These Truths), two-time Emmy Award-winning actor Stuart Margolin (CTC's Death of a Salesman, All My Sons) will star as Big Daddy.

Clybourne Park, winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and 2012 Tony Award, will play July 19-28 under the direction of Davis McCallum (Water by the Spoonful). Picking up where Lorraine Hansberry's Raisin in the Sun leaves off, the play, according to CTC, "traces the history of a house, a neighborhood and the people who have come and gone over the course of fifty years. Bruce Norris' pitch-black comedy takes on the issues of gentrification in our communities, leaving no stone unturned in the process."

CTC will also offer the William Shakespeare comedy The Comedy of Errors, directed by CTC associate artistic director Andrew Borba (Aug. 9-16); and The Romeo & Juliet Project, an "original retelling of Shakespeare's timeless love story and the first in a three-year series of projects featuring the collaborative efforts both off and onstage of Chautauqua's signature arts programs, including Chautauqua Opera Company, Chautauqua Theater Company, Chautauqua Dance, Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra and the Chautauqua Music Festival" (July 27).

Conceived, curated and directed by Vivienne Benesch, The Romeo & Juliet Project will "inaugurate an annual series that celebrates the Institution with a work that could only be created amongst the unique 'ecstatic mix of arts' central to Chautauqua."

CTC's "The New Play Workshop" will be held July 11-13 and Aug. 1-3. The company will present two workshop readings of fresh plays by important new voices in the American theatre.
