News Cole Escola, Logan Ford, Randy Harrison, Rob Maitner Set for Reading of The Click of the Lock {Your Name Here} A Queer Theater Company will present an industry reading of Justin Sayre's The Click of the Lock Feb. 25 at 7 PM at the Bank Street Theater.

Co-produced by David Anzuelo and artistic director David Macke with special thanks to Labyrinth Theater Company, the evening will be directed by playwright Sayre. The cast will feature Brian Barefoot, Joe Beedles, Christian Coulson, Sean Dugan, Cole Escola, Logan Ford, Randy Harrison, Rob Maitner, Allen McCullough and Chris Tyler.

The Click of the Lock, set in The Bowery of 1901, "tells of the often forgotten world of the Fairie Resorts, the first instance of gay visibility in New York, a small group of saloons gearing toward men of certain 'proclivities,'" according to press notes. "[The play] follows 'Lillian Russel,' an aging fairie struggling to find a new home as one after another of the resorts are closed down. As a last chance, she goes to The Dream, where she is far from welcome. She talks with her 'daughter,' Gracie, trying to court Grace with the promises from a very wealthy and love-starved, Daniel. At the core of the play are conflicts with love, in the ephemeral and the tangible, the creation of an identity, and the truth about what we can own."

The Bank Street Theater is located at 155 Bank Street in Manhattan. Tickets, available to industry only, are available at [email protected].
