Broadway Sings P!nk — offered Jan. 19, 2015, at 8 PM at the Highline Ballroom and Jan. 25, 2015, at 9 PM at (le) Poisson Rouge — is the seventh installment in the Broadway Sings… concert series. Previous artists featured include Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse and Justin Timberlake.
Performers include Colin Donnell (Violet, Anything Goes), Christine Dwyer (Wicked), Colin Hanlon (Rent), Carly Hughes (Pippin, Beautiful), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hardbody, Godspell), Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones, Xanadu), Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia!) and Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture), among others.
According to press notes, "More than 20 Broadway performers will be accompanied by a full band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the singer's greatest songs. The concert will feature cover songs to celebrate the legend's iconic, theatrical songs, including 'Sober,' 'Just Like a Pill,' 'Lady Marmalade,' 'So What' and 'Just Give Me a Reason.' The music will be orchestrated and arranged by Joshua Stephen Kartes."
P!nk has released seven albums since 2000, selling more than 51 million copies and 95 million singles worldwide. She has received three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award and six MTV Video Music Awards.
Mach (Hands on a Hardbody, Wicked, Godspell) produces and directs.
