Mar. 11-Apr. 5, the Huntington Theatre Company in Boston is staging Donald Margulies' Collected Stories, an All About Eve-ish tale of a renowned writer and her protogee.

In its 1997 Off-Broadway incarnation, Collected Stories played 23 previews and 80 regular performances at Manhattan Theatre Club. Author Margulies previously provided MTC with What's Wrong With This Picture? (which had a brief Broadway run), The Loman Family Picnic and Sight Unseen. Margulies' most recent NY work was The Model Apartment at Primary Stages.

Lisa Peterson directed Collected Stories' world premiere at South Coast Rep in Costa Mesa, CA November 1996, where the piece won an Outstanding Writing award from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle. Performances of Collected Stories began Mar. 6 and end April 3. The director is Jacques Cartier. In the cast are Deborah Kipp as Ruth and Felicity Jones as Lisa, the protegee.
