News Collins, Dellger and Meyer Reunite for Jacques Brel at the Alliance Complete casting has been announced for the Alliance Theatre engagement of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, beginning performances in Atlanta April 15.

Alliance artistic director Susan V. Booth will direct the revue that replaces the world premiere of iSondheim, a musical revue created by James Lapine based on the work of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer. iSondheim was scuttled due to a lack of commercial funding for the multimedia production.

After a successful run in 2007, the forthcoming engagement of Jacques Brel will reunite cast members Courtenay Collins, Joseph Dellger, Craig A. Meyer and newcomer Steffi Garrard. Jacques Brel will officially open April 29 and continue through May 10.

The production promises to transform the Alliance Stage into an intimate cabaret, replete with two-person tables and four-person, semi-circular banquettes on stage. The popular revue of Brel's music includes the songs "If We Only Have Love," "Jackie," "My Childhood," "Fanette," "Sons Of," "Madeleine," "Amsterdam," "Old Folks" and "Carousel."

Jacques Brel will have designs by Leslie Taylor (set design), Mariann Verheyen (costume design), Pete Shinn (lighting design) and Clay Benning (sound design). Robert Strickland serves as musical director.
