The Ukranian-born Wojtyszyn studied in Poland before moving to the United States in 1971. In 1973, he was hired by the Denver Symphony, which later became the Colorado Symphony.
Wojtyszyn also built violins, cellos, and violas, a craft he learned from his father.
"He lived for playing in the symphony," fellow CSO musician David Waldman told the News. "He loved coming to work."
