Directed by John Edw. Blakenchip [sic], Vivien Leigh: The Last Press Conference catches actress Leigh well past her prime and suffering from manic depression. Based on Lafferty's own film, "Vivien - The Movie, The Marriage, The Madness," Press Conference premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1997 and later played at CA's Tiffany Theatre and Scenedock Theatre, as well as Theatre LaB Houston.

Leigh, once married to Sir Laurence Olivier, remains best known for playing Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone With the Wind" and Blanche DuBois in "A Streetcar Named Desire."

A University of Southern California graduate, Lafferty has spent years in summer stock as well as playing various roles at the Edinburgh Fringe. She met director Blankenship at USC, where he runs Festival Theatre USC-USA.
