News COMINGS AND GOINGS: Grease! Welcomes Two More Stars As widely advertised (and previously reported by PBOL), Darlene Love and Jeff Conaway have joined the cast of Grease! Love, singer of such legendary hits as "He's a Rebel" and "Da Doo Ron Ron," succeeds Lee Truesdale as the Teen Angel. Conaway, best known for his role in the TV series "Taxi," follows Joe Piscopo into the role of D.J. Vince Fontaine. Conaway, of course, co-starred (as Kenickie) in the movie version of the endlessly popular Jim Jacobs/Warren Casey musical. Olympic gymnastics star Dominique Dawes continues as Patty Simcox through July.

Over at Once Upon a Mattress, Lannyl Stephens, late of Moon Over Buffalo and My Favorite Year, is currently playing Lady Larken, the role originated by Jane Krakowski in this revival.

Emy Baysic is the current Kim alternate (Wednesday evenings and Saturday matinees) at Miss Sagion; Baysic's predecessor, Elizabeth Paw, will return to the show sometime in the future.

Speaking of alternates, Glenda Balkan plays Cunegonde at matinee performances of Candide. The vocally challenging role is played by Harolyn Blackwell the other five times a week.

The recently-wrapped Encores! presentation of Rodgers and Hart's The Boys from Syracuse featured several actors continuing in assorted Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, including Sarah Uriarte Berry (Les Miserables), Danny Burstein (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change), and Amiee Turner (Forum).
