"When violence breaks out in an African American community over a pair of 'Sky Max' shoes, sales triple among white teens," according to press notes. "Meanwhile, a new pill guarantees to cure racism, advertising that 'if you think you don’t need it – you’re probably a racist.'" The play is further described as "a black comedy, in which five people, white and black, navigate the murky waters of race, rhetoric and basketball shoes."
The production will also feature sets by Roman Tatarowicz, lights by Miriam Nilofa Crowe, sound by Brandon Walcott and projection design by Caite Hevner.
