News Composer Adam Guettel Sings at NYC's Town Hall May 12 Composer-lyricist Adam Guettel will sing selections from his works, including Floyd Collins, Myths and Hymns and A Light in the Piazza, his next musical, May 12 at New York City's Town Hall. Composer-lyricist Adam Guettel will sing selections from his works, including Floyd Collins, Myths and Hymns and A Light in the Piazza, his next musical, May 12 at New York City's Town Hall. Special guests include Kristen Chenoweth (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown), Theresa McCarthy (Titanic), Audra McDonald (Ragtime), Billy Porter (Miss Saigon) and Jubilant Sykes. Guettel first attracted attention with his collaboration with Tina Landau, Floyd Collins, a musical based on the historical events resulting from a Kentucky caver's entrapment in a cave. The Lucille Lortel and Obie Award-winning piece is currently receiving a production in Chicago at the Goodman Theater. Other musicals include Off-Broadway's Saturn Returns (retitled Myths and Hymns for its recently released recording) and Piazza, based on an Elizabeth Spencer love story.
