The Lincoln Center Mostly Mozart Festival's first-ever composer in residence, Osvaldo Golijov, will make an appearance Tuesday night, August 14, at 7 pm at the Lincoln Triangle branch of Barnes & Noble, at Broadway and West 65th St. in Manhattan. The event is free and open to the public.

Azul, Golijov's recent work for cello and orchestra, was on the program for Mostly Mozart's opening gala, and his Pasi‹n seg‹n San Marcos is a centerpiece of this year's festival. In addition, Golijov contributed to programming this year's Mostly Mozart, suggesting in particular the inclusion of Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610 and Schubert's Eight and Ninth Symphonies.

At Barnes and Noble, Golijov will discuss his work and sign copies of his most recent CD, Oceana.
