News Comstock and Fasano to Play the Algonquin in February Husband-and-wife singers Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano will join forces for This Thing Called Love at the Oak Room Supper Club in the Algonquin Hotel Feb. 9-March 6.

This Thing Called Love, according to press notes, "explores the many sides of modern romance — the joys and complications, the agony and the ecstasy." With music from American pop and jazz song books, This Thing Called Love features selections from Cole Porter and Duke Ellington as well as Bruce Springsteen and Stephen Sondheim.

Eric Comstock created and starred in the Off-Broadway revues Singing Astaire, Made for the Movies and Our Sinatra and headlined Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, saluting Jule Styne and Charles Strouse. He is featured on the world premiere recordings of "What’s The Use" and "Tell Me I Know How To Love" and has released three solo recordings.

Barbara Fasano has received three Back Stage Bistro Awards including Record of the Year for “Written in the Stars." She has appeared onstage in Grease, Wonderful Town and Side by Side by Sondheim.

Together, Comstock and Fasano received three 2007 MAC Awards and have performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Birdland, Feinstein’s and the Carlyle, and headlined the Metropolitan Room with their show Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams.

This Thing Called Love plays the Oak Room Supper Club, located at 59 West 44th Street. There is a $50 cover charge and a $30 food and drink minimum. For reservations call (212) 419-9331 or e-mail [email protected].
