The cast of West End principals includes Gina Beck (currently Glinda in Wicked) with a guest appearance by Samantha Barks (who has just finished filming her role as Eponine in "Les Miserables"). The concert will be hosted by Playbill.com London news correspondent Mark Shenton.

Joining Beck as Meg are Nikki Davis-Jones as Jo, Sarah Lark as Beth, Lisa-Anne Wood as Amy and Shona Lindsay as Marmee. Tbe cast also includes Helena Blackman (Belle Gardner), Norman Bowman (Professor Bhaer), Daniel Boys (Laurie) and Jon Robyns (John Brooke), supported by a specially formed ensemble. The musical director is Niall Bailey.

The production is directed by Nicola Samer, associate director for The Ladykillers and Flashdance, and produced by Paul Taylor-Mills. The event will benefit the Gingerbread charity, an organization set up over 90 years ago to provide advice and practical support for single parents.

In a press statement, director Samer remarked, "Everyone has their own 'Little Women' story, and anyone who comes to see this concert will be able to relate with one of the characters. It's a timeless story, and Steven’s musical adaptation brings the story into the modern world whilst retaining a classic musical theatre sound."
