News Concert Version of Ligeia to Feature Michael Lowney, Lauren Holmes, Nick Boddington, Bryan Jarrett A concert version of the new the musical Ligeia will be presented March 14 at the Metropolitan Room in Manhattan.

The 9:30 PM concert will feature the talents of Michael Lowney, Lauren Holmes, Nick Boddington, Bryan Jarrett, Susanne Layton and Elyssa Samsel.

Ligeia was penned by Jade Bartlett (book and lyrics) and Elyssa Samsel (music).

"In 1838, Edgar Allan Poe began a journey with a short story about the beautifully haunting Ligeia," according to press notes. "This visionary act of romanticizing death would set forth an unstoppable path to the current resurrection of Poe’s monster, the musical Ligeia."

The upcoming evening will be directed by Anthony D. Pound with music direction by Andrew Wheeler.
