The 71-year-old conductor was not seriously injured, but he has canceled his appearances from October 22-24 with the Orquesta Nacional de Espaê±a, at which he was to lead Mahler's Symphony No. 2 ("Resurrection").

Carlos Kalmar, music director of the Oregon Symphony, will take his place at those concerts.

Fr‹hbeck de Burgos is recovering in Madrid.
