News Conolly Completes Cast of Walsh-Smith's The Last Journey Casting is now complete for the upcoming reading of Tricia Walsh-Smith's new play The Last Journey.

Journey — starring Peter Strauss, Laila Robins, Marin Ireland and Debargo Sanyal — will be presented Jan. 22 at the Westport Country Playhouse in Connecticut as part of the theatre's New Play Readings series. New to the cast are Patricia Conolly and Molly Ward; the latter replaces the previously announced Danielle Skraastad. Carolyn Cantor will direct.

The performance will be followed by a talkback session with playwright Walsh-Smith.

"One moment Julian Lawton is attempting to salvage his marriage, the next he is forced to consider whether life support could jeopardize the soul’s immortality," states press notes for The Last Journey. "[The play] questions technology's role in the metaphysical. Will ghosts of the past cause Julian to glimpse the unknown and make the right decision?"

Patricia Conolly's Broadway credits include The Coast of Utopia, Judgment at Nuremberg, Waiting in the Wings, The Sound of Music, The Heiress, The Circle, A Small Family Business, Blithe Spirit, The Real Inspector Hound, Hedda Gabler, Pantagleize, Exit the King, The Cocktail Party, The Cherry Orchard, You Can't Take it With You and A Streetcar Named Desire.

Tricia Walsh-Smith is also the author of Bonkers and Addictions. Tickets for The Last Journey, priced at $10, are available by calling (203) 227-4177 or (888) 927-7529. For more information visit www.westportplayhouse.org.
