The annual Bickford fundraiser begins at 8 PM and salutes "those unforgettable characters you love to loathe from such Broadway classics as Sweeney Todd, The Phantom of the Opera, Oliver!, Jekyll & Hyde, Damn Yankees, Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, The Wild Party, The Little Mermaid, Man of La Mancha, Hairspray and more."

Audiences can expect over 20 songs including "Reviewing the Situation," "The Music of the Night," "Poor Unfortunate Souls," "As Long As He Needs Me," "It's All the Same," "Stars" and Maroulis' renditions of "Heaven On Their Minds" and "Pity the Child."

Maroulis is joined by Ron Bohmer (Ragtime, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Courtney Balan ([title of show]), Marc G. Dalio (Beauty and the Beast), Donna English (Ruthless!, Lend Me A Tenor), Amy Griffin (Newsical, Forbidden Broadway), Rob Richardson (A Tale of Two Cities), Matthew Shepard (Wonderful Town), Bess Morrison, Julie Waldman-Stiel and Rick Delaney.

Life Upon the Wicked Stage is written, produced and directed by Stephen Kantrowitz and Jodi Chekofsky. Peter Candela is the musical director.

Maroulis, a finalist on the fourth season of "American Idol," received a Tony Award nomination in 2009 for his performance in Rock of Ages. He has also been seen on Broadway in The Wedding Singer and will star in the Broadway-bound revival of Jekyll & Hyde. Visit his page at the Playbill Vault. The Bickford Theatre produces and presents a Main Stage Series, two Children's Theatre series, a Jazz Showcase and Blues at the Bickford. The theatre is a senior member of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance and works in conjunction with Actors' Equity Association (AEA) and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).
