Tom Conti will be appearing in Yazmina Reza's award winning play Art at Wyndham's Theatre from Sept. 4 for four weeks. Tom Conti will star as 'Marc' alongside Joe Morton and Richard Thomas. Judd Hirsch, who is currently playing the role of 'Marc', has to leave the production Sept. 2 due to TV commitments in America.
Tom Conti had much success in the Australian production of Art. His films include "Shirley Valentine, Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence" and "Reuben, Reuben," for which he received an Oscar nomination. He has also made guest appearances on several episodes of "Friends" and "The Cosby Show."
Art opened in London at the Wyndham's Theatre in October 1996 starring Albert Finney, Tom Courtney and Ken Scott, won both the Evenings Standard Drama Award and the Laurence Olivier Award for 'Best Comedy'.
