News Cook Pays Tribute to Late Harper on BBC Radio Jan. 10 Barbara Cook will pay tribute to her late musical director and piano accompanist Wally Harper during an upcoming interview on BBC Radio 3.

The interview, conducted by Edward Seckerson, will be broadcast Jan. 10, 2005, from 4-5 PM UK time. Cook will discuss her extraordinary theatrical career as well as the loss of Harper, who died earlier this year. Harper was Cook's musical director for three decades. Barbara Cook has starred on Broadway in Flahooley, Candide, The Gay Life, The Music Man and She Loves Me. She received a Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony Award for her performance in The Music Man, and her one-woman show, Mostly Sondheim, was nominated for a Tony in the Best Special Theatrical Event category. Cook was most recently on the New York stage in her newest show, Barbara Cook's Broadway. Both Mostly Sondheim and Barbara Cook's Broadway were recorded for DRG.
