News Cooney's Net Extends in West End

Ray Cooney's farce Caught in the Net at the Vaudeville Theatre has announced a new three month booking period covering performances from Dec. 10 to March 2, 2002. Booking for these performances has now opened.

The new booking period is a welcome sign of the way the West End is continuing to recover from the shock of the events of Sept. 11.

Comedies being just what the doctor ordered at the moment, it is unsurprising that this sequel to Cooney's hugely popular and long-running Run For Your Wife should have moved forward into the new year.

Detailing the increasingly frantic efforts of a bigamist to keep his two families separate, Caught in the Net relies on visual as much as verbal comedy, and in Russ Abbott and Eric Sykes the show has two of the leading exponents of the genre on stage together.
