News Cooper, McCarthy, James and Moore Will Sing for the Coterie at Joe's Pub The Coterie, a new downtown company devoted to developing contemporary music theatre works, will launch with a concert at Joe's Pub Sept. 21.

The 9:30 PM concert will feature the talents of Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper, Theresa McCarthy, Morgan James, David Adam Moore, Amy Justman, Cyrilla Baer, Andrew Nolen, Courtney Crouse, Christopher Burchett and Eric S. Brenner.

The singers will interpret the music of composers-in-residence David T. Little, Jeff Myers and Rachel Peters and librettist Royce Vavrek. The evening will also feature songs by Vavrek with composers Cristian Amigo, Mark Baechle, Andrew Gerle and Matt Marks.

Pianist Steven Malone will be the evening's musical director. He will be joined onstage by guitarist James Moore, violinist Yuki Numata, and cellist Kevin McFarland.
