It's more than just skiing and music. Telluride Rep arrives July 16-Aug. 1 with Medea, to be staged outdoors, in-the-round in Town Park. Euripides' tragedy tells of a mother who really wants to get back at her husband. The repertory company performs year round but does outdoor productions throughout the summer.

The Playwriting Festival happens Aug. 12-15 and features works by four winners of a national high school playwriting contest, according to Telluride Visitor Services spokesperson Annie Kuhles.
