News Could "Glee" Be Broadway Bound? The hit FOX series "Glee," which brought the show tune back to mainstream American television, may be making its way to Broadway, according to creator Ryan Murphy.

At the Aug. 11 New York opening of his film "Eat Pray Love," Murphy told the New York Daily News that a Broadway-aimed theatrical version of the series was "definitely" happening. "I'm auditioning people now," he said. Murphy declined to reveal his top casting choices. "I don’t know just yet," he said. "You'll see."

On March 18 Playbill.com broke the news that theatrical licensing organization Music Theatre International was exploring possible licensing options for "Glee," though no definitive plans for a professional stage adaptation were in place. FOX executives denied the news.

After filming on the first season concluded, the young cast of "Glee" embarked on a four-city concert tour last May. Murphy has also stated that a film version of the concert tour is also on his radar.
