Run Nov. 7 Couples Counseling Killed Katie, a one-act comedy written and directed by "Mike & Molly" creator and executive producer Mark Roberts, begins performances Nov. 7, prior to an official opening Nov. 9, at the Pico Playhouse in Los Angeles.

Roberts also stars alongside Jessica Tuck ("True Blood") in the work, which features characters originally conceived by the duo.

Here's how Couples Counseling is described: "When poet-songbird Katie Dove is murdered by her manager/husband, the lives of the people surrounding her are deeply affected by the tragedy. Set in a counselor's office and told through the personal accounts of seven different couples, Couples Counseling Killed Katie takes you on an outrageous and hilarious journey of love, hate and murder."

Roberts and Tuck are producers alongside Marla Dumont.
