News Crackskull Row to Debut Off-Broadway Honor Molloy’s Irish drama will play at The Workshop Theatre this fall.

Nancy Manocherian’s the cell in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood will present the world premiere of Crackskull Row by Honor Molloy beginning September 1 at The Workshop Theatre. The Irish drama is part of Origin Theatre’s 2016 1st Irish Theatre Festival.

The Off-Broadway production will officially open September 5, and is directed by artistic director Kira Simring.

Set in 1999, the story follows Rasher Moorigan, recently released from prison after serving time for a heinous crime he committed three decades earlier. Reunited with his mother, they are forced to confront the ghosts of the past and an uncertain future. “Crackskull Row is the story of one Irish family’s desperate actions and forbidden loves,” state production notes.

The world premiere will star Colin Lane, Terry Donnelly, Gina Costigan and John Charles McLaughlin. The production team features Gertjan Houben (lighting), Daniel Geggatt and Caitlyn Murphy (set), Sienna Zoë Allen (costumes), M. Florian Staab (sound design) and Chris Steckel (production stage manager).
