News Craig Wright Tapped to Pen "The Flash" Film Playwright Craig Wright has signed on as the screenwriter for a forthcoming comic-based "The Flash" film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

David Dobkin ("Fred Claus") will direct the film based on the DC Comics hero. Charles Roven and Alex Gartner of Mosaic Media produce. In the DC comic, the young protagonist has the ability to run at super-speeds and has superhuman reflexes. Gardner Fox created the character.

Wright is currently busy with his new ABC series "Dirty Sexy Money" featuring stage veterans Peter Krause, Jill Clayburgh, Donald Sutherland and Glenn Fitzgerald. The scribe previously penned the plays Recent Tragic Events, Orange Flower Water, Lady and The Pavilion.

He has also written for the television series "Six Feet Under," "Brothers & Sisters" and "Lost."
