The third season of the Golden Globe and Emmy-winning musical comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend premiered October 13, and the show is wasting no time in hitting audiences with hilarious moments and memorable songs.

With music by creator and star Rachel Bloom, Adam Schelsinger, and Jack Doglen, the show continues its social satire with an exclusive video released on “Cracked,” a sketch comedy YouTube channel of which Bloom is an alum.

In the above music video, Tim, played by actor Michael McMillian, laments his inability to please his woman. Tim is a co-worker of titular character Rebecca Bunch and her bestie Paula Proctor. The song begins very much like Les Misérables’ classic “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables,” in which Marius laments the loss of his friends in the students’ rebellion.
