Under the direction of Alan Souza, Crazy for You began performances June 25 and will run through Aug. 16. Vic DiMonda re-creates Susan Stroman's original Tony-winning choreography for the musical, which features a book by Ken Ludwig and hits from the Gershwin catalogue.
Santagata (Happiness) stars as displaced New Yorker Bobby Child opposite Millhollen (A Chorus Line) as independent Midwesterner Polly Baker. Principal cast members also include Brian Gonzales (Bela Zangler), Erin Mosher (Irene) and Michael Sample (Lank).
The Crazy for You ensemble features John Cormier, Laurie DiFilippo, Rebecca Fale-Chiu, Brody Hessin, David Houston, Danielle Kelsey, Amanda Kloots-Larsen, Beau Landry, Chris LeBeau, Erika Odegard, Jessica Pierson, Nicky Romaniello, Richard Rowan, Joan St. Onge and Shaver Tillit.
Designing the production are Michael Bottari and Ronald Case (set and costume design), Martin E. Vreeland (lighting design) and Katherine Miller (sound design).
The 1992 premiere of Crazy for You won Tony Awards for Best Choreography, Best Costume Design and Best Musical.
