Is your school or community arts program putting on a production? Are you searching for a way to add a little more Broadway magic to the performance? Look no further because PLAYBILLder is holding a contest!

PLAYBILLder is the online service to help schools and community arts programs create and print professional-quality Playbills for productions, concerts, recitals and more. Since its launch in 2013, PLAYBILLder has grown exponentially and now boasts over 37,000 unique users in all 50 states with over 1,000,000 Playbills printed annually. An easy-to-use platform to build your own Playbill, PLAYBILLder adds that professional touch to any showgoing experience.

As an extension of the Season of Giving, the sweeps originated as a way for the PLAYBILLder team to give back to their clientele. “We felt like this was a perfect way to do something with our community and to give back a little bit,” says Sarah Jane Arnegger, Playbill’s Business Director of Educational Programs. “We want to see what schools and community arts programs are producing in terms of Playbills and we thought that this would be a great opportunity to get our users involved a little bit more.”

PLAYBILLder will select one lucky winner to receive a package that includes 750 24-page full color professionally-printed Playbills and ten custom show posters. The sweepstakes opens January 11 and runs through February 17, 2017; a winner will be chosen February 18, 2017.

Good news for those less official producers and actors out there: The winner does not necessarily have to be attached to a school, or an official community initiative. Programs of various backgrounds are eligible, including after school activity groups, community theatres, dance companies, and music ensembles. (The sweepstakes does stipulate that entrants must be based in the United States).

PLAYBILLder is all about creating an extended community around theatre. “We would love to see social media attached to entries,” says Sarah Jane Arnegger. “ We want to see what your Twitter account looks like, what your Facebook account looks like… We love social media, as Playbill does, so if you have social media accounts, include them.” Win or lose, PLAYBILLder aims to get amateur actors, directors, creatives—and the audiences who see their work—excited about the theatre. At the end of the day, that enthusiasm is what we all really want to BILLd.
