News Creators of Duet! Return With Fringe Offering Go-Go Kitty, Go! Greg Jackson and Erin Quinn Purcell, who had a moderate Off-Broadway success with the satiric romantic comedy Duet! in the late '90s, will be featured in the New York International Fringe Festival with their latest work, Go-Go Kitty, Go!, a "swinging Russ Meyer valentine."

The show, which will play the Lucille Lortel Theatre, is described as the story of two go-go dancing biker-babes who track down a suspicious presidential candidate after they find a transvestite murdered. Samuel Buggelin directs.

The title is evidently an homage to Meyer's legendary 1965 B-movie about homicidal, busty chicks, "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!"

Purcell is a member of the adobe theatre company, which broke into some prominence Off-Broadway in the late '90s, largely due to the success and positive critical response that greeted Duet! A kitschy, stylized and romantic love story, Duet! starred Quinn Purcell and Gregory Jackson as two star-crossed lovers, one of whom turns out to have a taste for amphibians. It was co-directed by Jackson, Purcell and Jeremy Dobrish. The show combined elements of vaudeville, silent film, nostalgic kitsch and puppetry.

Purcell and Jackson have also been working on a musical called A Fish Story for some years.
